Solar LED street lighting system with Dusk-Dawn operation
This model shows how the solar energy is converted into electricity in the solar LED street lighting system.
Normally the solar LED street lights are raised light sources which are powered by photovoltaic panel generally called as solar panels. These panels charge a rechargeable battery during day and powers the light during night.
The components used in this project are,
- 7.5v solar panel
- 6v 4.5Ah rechargeable battery
- 6v DC LED lights
- Solar lantern circuit,
To show the dusk- dawn operation.
In this model the +be DC voltage from solar panel directly connected to solar voltage detector circuit
and to rechargeable battery
through diode and fuse.
-ve voltage from panel connected to Battery
and to the entire circuit.
LED street light's Anode pin
gets it's -ve voltage from drive switching transistor
to perform Dusk-Dawn operation using triggers from solar detector circuit
and cut off circuit.
