Hybrid Bin In India, most of yhe people are living in urban cities. So the waste generation is also higher in these places. The main source of the waste in these areas are generated from houses. Moreover these wastes are becoming very complex to handle because they are mixed together ie. Plastics, bio waste, organic wastes etc. So my idea is to seperate those wastes into two categories in source level that is in the houses. The Hybrid bin can looks like a normal dust bin in our homes. But it has an seperating mechanisms in order to seperate degradable and non degradable wastes in house itself. The bin works with the helps of sensor\'s detection. We doesn't have an exact way or sensor in order to detect plastics in dustbins. Hence we can use different technique in order to find wether it is an plastic or not. So by using the dielectric constant of the material we can assume that it is an plastic or not, different materials have different dielectric constants.So by using the digital reading from Capacitive Proximity Sensor, we can conclude wether it is an plastic or not.In order to find the metallic wastes, we can use the inductive sensing technique which is done by Inductive Proximity Sensor (IPS). So combination of CPS and IPS values can be used to find plastics and metal in the thrown wastes into the hybrid bin. So if the wastes in not these two cases, we can conclude it is an degradable wastes. This Hybrid bin can be directly ready to sell in the market in very low cost of about ₹1500 to ₹2000. It can even sold at very low price in mass production. Hence the people from any classes can buy this bin and place directly in their homes where they want. The size of the bin is same as like the regular one. And weight is also not more than 2 kg. So easily portable. The main impact of my idea is to decrease the workload of the human in manual waste segregation plants. And the other moto is to make an clean and healthy India in future.
