Growing resistance to antimicrobials is one of the most important issues across the world. Surveillance is known to be effective in controlling antimicrobial resistance. Individual countries like India, USA, European Union, Japan etc. and agencies like WHO have developed tools which collect data on antimicrobial resistance in silos. There are no uniform standards for data sharing and exchange through secure systems.

Suitable formats for exchange of data across the systems are required. A module for import  and export of data from ICMR Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance Network (bic.icmr.org.in/amr login name demo, password demo123) needs to be developed. The tool and format will be extremely useful in comparative analysis of AMR data from different countries.
